1978 was the year of our company’s beginning. Under the registered name of SYARIKAT PERNIAGAAN HAYAMIM, we initially started out with the objective of supplying low cost Audio-Visual-Aids (AVA) directly to schools and college. These AVA products were mainly projection apparatus and educational program in the form of 16mm films and 35mm slides from the producer of Britannica USA and others.
The Eighties: With the introduction of Educational Technology in classrooms by the Ministry of Education, AVA equipment in the Educational sector experienced a sudden surge in demand. Our company assisted in furthering the aims of the Ministry by holding mini exhibitions and lectures on the effective use of AVA in classrooms, throughout the Federal Territory (Wilayah Persekutuan) and the state of Selangor. Through our pioneering effort, we experienced a soaring growth rate and received due recognition. As our reputation grew, our sales expanded to cover Universities, Government Agencies and Training Centers. In 1989, we acquired our own office building in Taman Seri Gombak.
The Nineties: In 1991, the founding member Anwar Abdullah decided to buy over his partner shares and incorporated the company into a private limited company under the name of HAYAMIM AVA SDN. BHD. It was during this period that we expanded into product distribution and appointed many of our current dealers. To accommodate our expansion and ever increasing demand for warehousing space, we acquired a new warehouse in 1994 at Taman Industri Bolton, Batu Caves.
The Millennium
With thirty years of experience behind us, our company has evolved from being a direct-selling company dealing mainly with schools, to a top AV and Sound System Distribution House. At present, we have a vast network of more than two hundred and fifty dealers and reseller, throughout East, West Malaysia and ASEAN.
With our well-grounded reputation, we manage to secure the distributorship for a number of world-renowned brands of AV equipments. We also have the distinction of being Sole Distributor for some of these products such as Bosch, Avermedia and Chiayo. Among the internationally well-known brands we distribute are:-

In Dec 2002, the company shifted to its new 10,000 sq. ft. facility. The building integrates the sales and management office, warehouse, showroom and a training center. By integrating the operations under a roof, hence we are able to provide a comprehensive and efficient service delivery to our customers.
